WHY ICF

The I.C.F system Premier Constructions Group inc. uses is a stay in place insulated concrete wall forming system that consists of expanded polystyrene panels connected by plastic webs. The system combines the insulating effectiveness of expanded polystyrene (ICF) with the advantages of a reinforced monolithic concrete wall.ICF Sample Photo

The I.C.F. has a built-in flame retardant agent and is manufactured at a 1.5 pcf density. When filled with concrete, the I.C.F. system delivers a monolithic concrete wall thickness of 4", 6" and 8", an insulation value of R-50, a fire resistance rating of three hours, and a sound transmission class of 50.

WHY ICF?
Whether you're building a concrete home or a multi-level commercial structure, you can't beat the rewards of building with Insulated Concrete Forms. Insulated concrete forms provide a lightweight, high-strength alternative to using steel or wood frame.

What are Insulated Concrete Forms?
(ICFs) are hollow foam blocks which are stacked into the shape of the exterior walls of a building, reinforced with steel rebar, and then filled with concrete. Insulated concrete forms combine one of the finest insulating materials, Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), with one of the strongest structural building materials, steel reinforced concrete. The result is a wall system of unmatched comfort, energy efficiency, strength and noise reduction.
What are the advantages of an Insulated Concrete Form structure?
Insulated Concrete Form structures are much more comfortable, quiet, and energy-efficient than those built with traditional construction methods. See the menu on the left for more details about the advantages of insulated concrete form homes and buildings.

What is LEED?

As you research the subject of green building, you've undoubtedly encountered the term: LEED®.  The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System® is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Members of the U.S. Green Building Council representing all segments of the building industry developed LEED and continue to contribute to its evolution.

LEED provides a complete framework for assessing building performance and meeting sustainability goals. Based on well-founded scientific standards, LEED emphasizes state of the art strategies for sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. LEED recognizes achievements and promotes expertise in green building through a comprehensive system offering project certification, professional accreditation, training and practical resources.
